Harvesting the Potential of Online Communities
Lew Platt, the former CEO of Hewlett-Packard famously said: “If only HP knew what HP knows, we would be three-times more productive.” Some of the most critical and timely information within organizations is local. It resides within key experts, on shared drives, sticky notes, and exists informally as “tribal knowledge.” Organizations that will survive and thrive will be the ones who master the ability to harvest and leverage their collective intelligence.
In this session you will learn how online Centers of Excellence can help capture, organize, and share expertise that is currently distributed throughout your organization. Simple-to-use online tools can collect the expertise in your organization, promote organizational agility through collaboration, and identify thought leaders.
