Using Storyline to Move from Informational PowerPoints to

Engaging eLearnings that Change Performance

Many people don’t understand what goes into instructional design. They think you can throw together a PowerPoint deck and communicate the training to the participants. An information PowerPoint is NOT training. Sound instructional design involves completing a thorough analysis and identification of the performance gap you are trying to fill. Then designing an interactive, engaging solution that accomplishes the defined learning objectives.

Many authoring tools allow you to simply import PowerPoint decks into their software to help expedite the design process for E-Learning. AVOID this at all cost unless you just want to communicate information and don’t need a change in behavior.

This webinar focuses on the use of Articulate Storyline to:

  • Storyboard the learning content based on a design plan
  • Integrate various types of media
  • Add knowledge checks to check for understanding
  • Introduce gamification components
  • Leverage E-Learning Heroes website for ideas and templates
