Pikes Peak ATD programming equips members with up-to-date industry practices that help them help their employees or clients succeed. Ideally, our programming ought also to support each member's professional growth by helping everyone tap into everyone else's expertise. However, during the course of a typical year none of us learns very much about each other's talents or needs.
The newly expanded Program Committee would like to do something about that with you over lunch, to ensure that PPATD is truly responsive to your goals moving forward. This special session will be co-facilitated by two of its esteemed new members:
- Ollie Mannino, Director of Corporate & Workforce Training at Pikes Peak Community College and former ATD chapter leader in another state (ask her where!)
- Janice Tollini, Talent Management Consultant, horse trainer, and former clinical psychologist at Fort Carson
Together, we've crafted questions to serve two purposes. Janice will use the first set to invite you to share what you wish to disclose about your "superpowers" and professional needs. Ollie will then invite breakout groups to discover how the chapter could better shape its programming, given that information. We'll draft an affinity diagram afterward and circulate it among those who participated to make sure we understood. The validated information will serve as a major input to program offerings for the rest of the year. Equally important, you'll have stronger relationships with colleagues by the time you leave.
This will be the same banquet menu we used in 2015. Registrants will be sent the menu immediately and choices will be collected in advance, so that introductory activities can begin promptly at 11:45.
